Seattle Fence Company
Fence and gate contractor based in Seattle, 8 miles from Shoreline.
- License active
- Bond and insurance on file
- No gate-motor license: ask who wires it
What the state records show
| License | Number | Status |
|---|---|---|
| General | SEATTFC845JN | Active |
| Fencing | SEATTFL789RM | Active |
- Bond $30,000 on file with the state, with no end date (it stays in force until the bond company cancels it).
- Liability insurance $1,000,000 on file with the state, until Jun 9, 2027
- We have no job record for them: most fence and gate work needs no permit, so no city record counts their jobs. A license says they may do the work, not that they do it well.
Records: Washington L&I license, bond and insurance files, read Oct 3, 2026.
What to ask before you hire
- Who wires the gate motor, under which electrical license, and who pulls the L&I permit?
- Which motor brand and model? Does it meet the UL 325 safety standard (photo eyes, edge sensors)?
- What happens in a power outage: battery backup, or a manual release?
- How far back from the street will the gate sit, so a car can wait off the road?
- Can I have an itemized price: gate, motor, keypad or remotes, trenching for power, footings?
