What the site is

contractors.fyi lists contractors ranked by the jobs on public permit records, and passes quote requests from homeowners to contractors. It is a source of information. It is not a contractor, does not do any work, and is not a party to any agreement you make with a contractor.

The information is not a recommendation

Rankings count permits and finished jobs. They do not measure quality, price, safety or how a contractor treats customers. Values shown are the ones written on permits, which often differ from the final price. The data comes from public records that can be late, incomplete or wrong, and we may make mistakes combining it. Check a contractor's license, insurance and references yourself before you hire, and get more than one quote.

Quote requests

When you send a request, you agree that we may pass it to up to 3 contractors and that they may contact you about it. We do not promise that a contractor will reply, give a quote or do the work. Any agreement, payment or dispute about the work is between you and the contractor.

How you may use the site

Use the site for your own search for a contractor. Do not send false requests, try to break or overload the site, or copy large parts of it for another service.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, contractors.fyi is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site, from its information, or from work done by a contractor you found here.

Contractors

If a record about your business is wrong, email [email protected] and we will look into it. No one can pay to change a ranking.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
